Where it Started
Founded in 2021, LQT is a startup company spun out of a collaborative project with the Defence Innovation Network (DIN) and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). LQT is developing solutions to future-proof the information security of cybercommunications for decades to come


Our Team

Dr.Minh Anh Phan Nguyen
CEO, Co-founder
Minh completed his PhD in quantum nanophotonics at the University of Technology Sydney, specialising in the engineering and development of solid-state quantum sources with nanophotonic architecture for their employment in various quantum applications such as quantum key distribution.

Helen Zeng
First Officer, Co-Founder
Helen is a PhD student at the University of Technology Sydney, studying nanophotonics with a keen interest for quantum technologies. Her expertise resides in the theory and experimentation of quantum solid-state materials, with a focus on 2D materials and their utilisation of quantum applications.

Dr.Ali Al Juboori
CFO, Co-Founder
Ali completed his PhD in physics at the University of New South Wales, specialising in porous silicon and meta materials. Ali’s expertise now lies in quantum technology, with his most recent project involving working on a national quantum key distribution system.

Samuel Phan
Product Designer
Sam is a product designer driven by a passion for impactful problem-solving. With an iterative design process 
Sam's expertise lies in producing and delivering technology products with his most recent project involving NFP organisation engineers without borders.

Prof. Igor Aharonovich
Advisor
Igor Aharonovich leads a quantum nanophotonics laboratory at the University of Technology Sydney, His group specialises in exploring single defects in wide bandgap semiconductors for a plethora of current and future quantum technologies.

Prof. Milos Toth
Advisor
Milos Toth leads a quantum nanofabrication laboratory at the University of Technology Sydney. Working together with Igor Aharonovich, he specialises in electron and ion beam technology, developing self-assemebly and top-down nanofabrication techniques, and their application to quantum optoelectronic devices.

Advisor
Alexander Solntsev is the associate head of research of the Mathematical and Physical Sciences Faculty at UTS. Alex runs a range of initiatives that enhance the quality of research translation, and foster collaborative connections with industry partners.
